Local Assistive Technology Systems Strengthening for Sustainable Provisionand Maintenance
Funded by Global Disability Innovation Hub, UK
(2023-2025)
This project, supported by the Global Disability Innovation Hub (UK) under the AT2030 programme (2023–2025), focuses on strengthening local systems for the sustainable provision and maintenance of assistive technology (AT) in Nepal. It examines how community-driven innovation and local production can address the diverse needs of people with disabilities, particularly in low-resource settings where access to
affordable and repairable devices remains limited. By emphasizing inclusive design principles and leveraging hybrid manufacturing techniques, the project aims to create context-appropriate solutions that align with local realities.
