Design lab is a part of Design and Manufacturing Group in Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kathmandu University. Design Lab is established with the purpose of providing students, researchers, faculties and professors a platform to create ideas, explore them and build a prototype of their ideas to bring them into reality. It also provides service of 3D Printing and CNC cutting to researchers for prototyping their mechanical designs.
Vision: To become pioneer in technology incubation and technology transfer in Nepal through design and innovation
Mission:
- To identify and tackle the problems faced by the people in grassroots level and bring a viable solution to these problems through research and development.
- Learn new technology, try and test it in lab and dissipate the generated knowledge by organizing regular trainings and workshops.
